WHAT IS REWARDS FOR RECYCLING?
Rewards for Recycling is a community based program that provides a Club-Based system providing rewards to residents encouraging curbside recycling participation. Your community, by adopting this valuable program has made club membership available to you simply for being a resident. Rewards for Recycling is a community participation program, not a competition.


HOW DOES IT WORK?
Rewards for Recycling provides every resident in the community with a Recycling Identifier tag(s) to be placed on your existing recycling bin. In some communities new recycling bins or recycling carts are provided with the recycling identifier tag already attached. The R4R recycling identifier tag is automatically scanned each time your recycling container appears for pick up, and your household is given credit for having recycled during that period. Participation in the program gives you access to valuable savings certificates from local merchants. Each time you recycle you are given access to higher value rewards for a period of time and are given opportunity to win fantastic periodic prizes!


HOW DO I ACTIVATE MY CLUB MEMBERSHIP?
By logging on to RewardsforRecycling.com, click on to the Login/Activate button on the home page. Provide your Recycling identifier number (the number found on the Recycling identifier tags, beginning with a "R4R" sequence) and your house number from your street address. These numbers will provide you with access to your individual Recycling Account. You will need to provide an active e-mail address, verify your home address, and your phone number. You will also be asked to assign a password of your choosing for additional account protection. Your e-mail address becomes your "User Name". That is all that is necessary to activate your R4R account! Rewards for Recycling accounts and all data are privacy protected, no data is ever sold to third parties and all data remains the property of only Rewards for Recycling and your local community government. R4R accounts are free of charge, provided by participation by your local community.


CAN ANYONE BECOME A MEMBER?
Everyone in your immediate community is automatically enrolled and eligible for a Rewards for Recycling account. You are not an active member until you log-in and complete the activation process. Every active account has access to rewards regardless of recycling behavior. If you do recycle, or better yet if you start recycling, you will gain access to rewards of much higher value as you will see in the Tier 2 and Tier 3 reward listings on your account pages.

HOW DO I QUALIFY FOR A REWARD?
Every active member is automatically qualified to receive Tier 1 level rewards simply for being a part of the community that has adopted the R4R program. For active Recyclers, if you have recycled in the past 30 days, you will have access to the much higher valued Tier 2 rewards. Some of the Tier 2 rewards are limited in number, allowing you to print only one of each unique reward. New Tier 2 rewards are added often, so please review your account on a regular basis to take full advantage of the savings offered to each participating resident. If there has been more than 30 days since your last recycling activity, access to Tier 2 Rewards will be temporarily blocked, until your next recycling occasion. tier 3 Rewards are sweepstakes type rewards, given out on a periodic basis. Each Tier 3 reward has its own rules and eligibility requirements. Every time you recycle, you are earning an additional registration in the Tier 3 Drawing. The more you recycle, the more registrations you will have. Tier 3 prizes may vary in value and availability. WHAT IF I AM NOT A RECYCLER?
If you do not currently recycle, our hope is that you will see the benefits of this program and start recycling! Even so, activate your R4R account regardless and begin enjoying the savings available to you through the Tier 1 rewards. Rewards for Recycling will help you see and feel the benefit of recycling today, and hopefully you will come to know the benefits of recycling for tomorrow. Benefits to our environment, to our community and savings of our natural resources. When you wish to begin recycling, contact Rewards for Recycling for direction on how to obtain a recycling bin, then fill it up with the appropriate materials, set it out with your trash, and Rewards for Recycling will credit you for participating giving you access to higher valued rewards and great prizes! There may also be special Tier 3 rewards for first time recyclers!
